About us

Our Story

At Healthlytic, we recognized the alarming rate of delayed medical diagnosis in Nigerian hospitals, largely due to the use of paper-based records. Our journey starts with a near-death experience with our founder’s little cousin:
“Sometime in 2018, his little cousin of ten was diagnosed with a gastric tumor (growth), and surgery was conducted to remove the tumor. A few years later, in 2021, our founder’s little cousin came to spend his summer holiday with our founder and his uncle, during which his cousin had a health emergency where he vomited lots of blood and was rushed to a hospital different from the one where he previously had surgery. Unfortunately, the hospital he was rushed to had no access to Electronic Health Records (EHR), which could have helped the doctors make an informed clinical decision about the cousin’s condition. Therefore, the doctors were limited with the necessary medical history to make an informed diagnosis; thus, this delayed treatment for about 4 days, which led to severe complications.”
This incident underscores the importance of the application of digital solutions in healthcare to facilitate informed clinical decisions and improve patients’ health outcomes. The experience further inspired our founder to build Healthlytic to develop an innovative solution that empowers patients and physicians with instant access to accurate health information during emergencies. We also aim to eliminate the risks associated with medical errors due to illegible prescriptions and delayed access to medical records.
Solutions
Our cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) allows both patients and their healthcare providers to access patients’ medical records in a timely manner, particularly during emergencies to save lives. The EHR system digitizes and streamlines patient medical records, ensuring healthcare professionals have vital patient information at their fingertips. With real-time access to patient data, clinicians can make faster and more informed clinical decisions, ultimately saving lives. At Healthlytic, we pride ourselves on building a less complex and more simplified platform. Our user-friendly platform facilitates seamless communication, enhances collaboration among healthcare providers, and empowers patients to take an active role in their healthcare journey.
